Folding diaphragm type fuel pump  

Diaphragm type fuel pump is the representative of mechanical fuel pump, used in carburetor engine, generally driven by the eccentric wheel on the camshaft, its working conditions are:  

(1) Oil absorption camshaft rotation, when the eccentric top shaking arm, pull down the pump film rod, the pump film down, suction, fuel is sucked out of the tank, and through the oil pipe, fuel filter, into the oil chamber of the fuel pump.  

(2) pump oil when the eccentric wheel turns a certain Angle no longer top shaking arm, pump film spring stretch, top acting pump film rise, the fuel pressure from the oil valve to the carburetor float chamber.  

The diaphragm type fuel pump is characterized by simple structure, but due to the thermal impact of the engine, special attention should be paid to ensure the performance of the pump oil at high temperature, as well as the durability of the rubber diaphragm for heat and oil.  

The maximum oil supply of general fuel pump is 2.53.5 times larger than the maximum oil consumption of fuel engine.  When the pump oil quantity is greater than the oil consumption and the needle valve of carburetor float chamber is closed, the pressure in the oil outlet pipeline of the oil pump is increased and reflected to the oil pump, so that the diaphragm stroke is shortened or stops working.

Folding electric fuel pump  

Electric fuel pump, not driven by camshaft, but by electromagnetic force repeatedly suction pump film.  This type of electric pump can be installed in a free choice of location, and can prevent air lock phenomenon.
